Heather was fine but the rest of our experience with our car purchase has been poor. We purchased the car Aug18 and have been in 4 times. The first time was for an appointment that no one told us had been cancelled to repair a rust spot missed at purchase and smoke bomb-causing a day of missed work driving from East Charlotte. Then the car went in Aug 25 with the rear left tire low alert & all of the dash lights came on and car was overheating. Code came up cyl 3 misfire from our reader. Car was picked up 2 more times by dealership with same readings and determined “fixed” after the thermostat was replaced. The driver who left it said it was running hot when he returned it. Low tire reading continued after constant filling and finally went totally flat at work. We paid out of pocket ourselves to replace the tire that had pulled away from the rim. Sept 27 back again with the same codes. Claimed it is repaired again. We are making payments on a car that has been at the dealership and feel like there should be some sort of retribution for the amount of time we have been without the car and personal expense. I would love to write a glowing review but at this point we are kind of sour.

I could almost understand not finding all the parts needed for my repairs before beginning the work. I do not understand not discovering all of the parts needed afterwards though. I don’t believe two extra orders should have been necessary but clearly the investigation wasn’t thorough causing me to need to leave my car for three days. THEN, when it was returned to me there was still a screw rattling around in the frame of the car for which an excuse was provided of, “it must have fallen out after the work was completed.” Number 1, that screw was ratting around in there when I brought it in. It could be heard every time the back hatch was opened and closed so it sounds like laziness, neglect, or lack of care/quality. Number 2, if it was true that it felt out, then that means the work wasn’t done correctly to begin with, and it could STILL be heard ratting around on open and close. Speaking of done incorrectly, the back panel and additional strap housing clearly were not correctly installed when the vehicle was given back to me. There was a gap around the whole edge of the panel and the strap housing was only halfway on! I was given another excuse, “there were two ridges the attachments needed to hit” (paraphrased), to which I ask, “so why didn’t they?” On top of that, where was the quality assurance by either the technician or a supervisor? I don’t even want to get into giving me a vehicle back with a dashboard light on, too. I’m not one to say, “I should be given some money back,” especially after parts were given with 20% off, but then giving me the car back in that condition should have afforded me some kind of credit on top of not refund for such a horrible job done to at least show good faith. I will not bring my cars back there where I have had tires, breaks, oil, and additional engine and frame work done for 4.5 years. I’m happy to talk about a resolution to earn my business back though.
