The check in process could be better. Maybe with a central check in desk or issue a waiting number. There were 4 separate 11am appts and some confusion about who would get served.

John arranged for a camera inspection of my engine to evaluate excessive oil usage. It was to be submitted to Hyundai and a disposition made within a few days. That was like three months ago and it was supposed to take 2 to 3 days. I’ve called and left messages three times and submitted emails to John twice. All I wanted was a disposition whether it was sorry we can’t do anything for you, or here’s what we can. Pretty consistent with the reviews on yelp, with 80% of the people saying they can never reach service or they are severely disappointed. I have had three Hyundai in a row, my relatives have had a couple, my friends a few, I have shared the experiences with San Bruno Hyundai and none of us will ever get a Hyundai again. It’s too bad that a pathetic service organization can ultimately cost millions of dollars in sales potential. Good luck. I will be emailing corporate office , Better Business Bureau, local news organizations , the local general manager, as well as others to let them know that this may be the worst service organization in Northern California. Does anybody read this or get back to people? I doubt it. ????????

Was misinformed about pricing. Brought car in for $20k service and asked how much it costs and what it included. Was told $287 and included oil change, tire rotation and alignment. I SAI I didn’t need alignment this early so opted for just oil change and tire rotation.
When work was done the bill came to $220 which made no sense to me without an alignment. I challenged it and the service rep brought over the manager who said an oil change and tire rotation cost $220. The initial pricing I was quoted was incorrect.
Another thing I did not appreciate is that you now charge the 3% credit card company charge on top of the bill. I’ve never seen or heard of this at a car dealership. This basically is a price uplift that helps your bottom line, whereas it really is a cost of doing business that you should figure out how to manage within your costs. This is a bad look for Hyundai service.

If even Toyota could offer better customer service. Ur phone service is ****. Ur communication is worse than ****. And to “trump it all your team used 75 miles of charge and didn’t have the decency to charge the car. Over all Daniel must be over worked at Tesla and Toyota there service advisors know my name. They say there are free beverages. And know where my car is in the que. all I have gotten is on Monday no return calls I had to show up to demand my car. When they went to get it they seemed to misplace the keys. Grrr

John Su was at first unhelpful, somewhat surly, then uncommunicative. Ultimately he was non existent and I could not get in touch with him or anyone with information on my car. Apparently he no longer works for Hyundai service, but because of their policy of only communicating through the first service rep you get, my car wasn’t being worked on (for several excuses) and I was left in limbo. I dropped it off on Thursday November 14. Did not get my car fixed until Saturday December 7. I was without a car for that entire time. And only kind of kept up to date in the last weeks. Really unacceptable.
