The only thing I have to say is that I wish I was notified when the truck was done so we could have gone to pick it up sooner. Instead I had to ask if the truck was done and was told yes.

Unfortunately, I did not have a positive experience today. After my service person said 10 of our lug nuts had to be replaced, paperwork showed there was a mistake made on Smart’s end with previous service. I do understand that sometimes people make mistakes, however, what you do next speaks volumes. When I pointed the situation out to my service person, they just looked at me and there was no acknowledgment of it. I did not feel they took responsibility nor did they apologize. They agreed to compensate me 2 lug nuts but only after I suggested it which in my opinion should have been the first thing they suggested. To add insult to the situation, to cap off our conversation, my service person then told me my wiper blades were worn and needed to be replaced. One problem. I just put brand new wiper blades on a couple weeks ago. Once I shared that, instead of admitting they made a mistake or apologizing, they immediately made an excuse. It was insulting. I was extremely frustrated and sad after I left today. I’ve had good service here in the past and really want to trust the people I do business with. At this point that trust has been seriously compromised. We bought our vehicle brand new from Smart 13 years ago and have only had service performed there. We have been very loyal customers. It is a horrible feeling when integrity feels compromised and the recommendations you receive feel like you are getting scammed. This really hurts me to write this because I am not the angry customer who is just looking to blast people. On the contrary, I am quick to praise when I see excellent service. (Feel free to check my Google reviews over the past several years if you’d like to see proof.) I’m sharing this feedback today in hopes by bringing it to someone’s attention, it sparks a desire and action to do better and that whoever reads this will feel the genuine intentions to help from which it came. Paul was great. I added on an oil change on top of the free services that I received, and he gave me a refresher on the service schedule and how it works. Had a 9am appointment and I could see through the window outside that my car was still in the parking lot at 10am. I asked them to check in the status and the team responded quickly, apologized for a miscommunication, and performed the 30K mile checkup, and got me out of there by 1030am. Good recovery, but a tough first hour.
