Nick always tried to meet our expectations and answer our questions. He was very kind and followed up on every unexpected issue that came up with our car. Our problem was not with Nick. We were disappointed in the fact that our oil pan seal did not last more than two and one half years, since it had been serviced there and that we had to have that job done again. Two other minor things were overlooked by the technicians: *the oil dipstick was not inserted completely and was left sticking up about 3 inches. My husband then checked the oil level. It was good, so he replaced the dipstick all the way in the way it is supposed to be. *the cover for the cabin filter was left on the floor of the front passenger side of the car. My husband had to put it back in place after referencing the owner’s manual. This is not the thorough type of service that we have been accustomed to at Baxter Toyota LaVista. When I went to schedule my oil change, the online process was super easy. In fact, the system had all my information and my car’s information tied to my phone number. The check in process was smooth and I was kept informed over text of the status of my vehicle. I purchased this used car from Baxter at 65,000 miles and this was my first time getting an oil change at the dealership. I was surprised when I got the service report laying out all of these 70,000 mile services that needed to happen. I pulled the car fax I got at the time of purchase and compared what was on the service list with what the car fax said was done at the time I purchased this car. A good portion of these services had already been completed before it got put on the lot as part of Baxter’s certified pre-owned inspection. It got ironed out fine in the end, and the rep apologized for the mixup. He agreed that those services were unnecessary for my vehicle based on its history and was very apologetic. However, it was super frustrating to be sent an estimate for almost $1000 worth of work when in reality it really only needed the oil change and tire rotation. I’m not sure if the history of my car was ever checked before they sent me the service list or if there was a miss in communication, but it made me lose a bit of confidence in Baxter.
