Lack of communication. Took over an hour for a scheduled tire repair. Not a word from anyone until it was done. Maybe I have too high of expectations.

I have been a customer of Baxter Toyota Lincoln for over 10 years and have always been satisfied with any service received-until today. I went in for an oil change and was informed that I needed a water pump as well. I had the Tech review my records and the water pump was replaced just 2 years ago. Seems like a water pump that is so expensive ($700) would last longer than 2 years. The Tech informed me that there was only a 12 month warranty on the water pump and there was nothing that could be done. The Tech did ask her supervisor ands he also indicated there was nothing that could be done. My feeling is that there is always something that could be done - even a 10% discount would have made me feel better. I am entertaining getting a new car later this year and may need to consider going to a different dealership.

Additional services are way overpriced. $275 for rear brake pads!?! I'm fortunate that I know what that job should cost. Feel bad for those who don't. And when I say "no thanks" because I know I can get it done elsewhere for a fraction of the cost I don't need to be lectured about what will happen if I don't change my break pads.

One question: we had our Sienna in for regular service shortly before this problem; it seems to me you should have seen the battery cable was bad and then also checked the battery.
