Upon arrival, I was informed that the oil/filter change would take about an hour. 80 minutes later 10:45am), I replied to the text message received earlier — confirming my vehicle was delivered for service (9:24am) — asking what the work status was. I received no reply to that text. At 10:58am a service rep brought the service paperwork to me, indicating he wasn’t sure what was done because he hadn’t been involved with the work on our car, though he also mentioned everything appears to be in good order and presented the paperwork to the cashier. Typically I have received a vehicle inspection summary, though did not today. Ultimately, reviewing the invoice, there is a $5.46 line item for “customer pay shop charge for repair order.” So it appears I’m being charged simply to have my vehicle serviced at Carlson… Wow!! Today’s experience has given me cause to pause and consider possible service alternatives going forward. What happened to the Carlson Toyota team that I’ve been working with for the past 20 years or so?

I usually get report, that shows, tire ware, brake ware, etc. I didn't get this on my last visit (10-8-24). Is this an oversight or is this not included anymore. I have found this report to be informational.

You invoiced a car I no longer own. Initial invoice said I owed $212. When I questioned it, the advisor said, oh no. That’s wrong. The actual amount was $106. Quite a difference. I asked for a break inspection. I only received a visual inspection. I’m pretty disappointed.

How does your business manage to keep customers? More than twice now I’ve had issues with your shop.
Your “inspection”was nothing short of insulting. Seems you only put in a real effort on those when someone is paying for extra service like I did today (tire replacements). I’ve only driven 219 miles since my last visit in June and somehow Carlson managed to find a glut of issues supposedly wrong with my car. A car that barely has 100k on it because I work from home. A car that has never been in an accident. Additionally, apparently thinking you can charge people ridiculous sums to replace things like a headlight (quoted $250) when MY HEADLIGHT WORKS AND DOESN'T NEED REPLACEMENT. Glad I didn’t blindly agree to your service items because headlight bulbs are $20 bucks for two of them and it doesn’t need replacement anyhow. In fact I’ve already replaced them once before. I think I’ll spend my $250 on something else instead of a friggin incandescent bulb.
Your staff unscrewed the antenna from my car (which is only a few inches long) and left it in the cab. I almost lost / broke it because I didn’t know it was sitting by my e-brake. Then after recovering it, it took me a minute to figure out WTF it was in the first place. Put my **** back where you found it!!! What else has Carlson forgotten to put back the past 11 years?
The paperwork provided lists my factory PSI incorrectly the past two times I’ve been there (it’s 35F and 33R per Toyota).
Your techs can’t seem to figure out if HV battery cooling is okay or NA-the reports each time something different.
Why did you bother to measure tread depth and tire pressure when I was there for you to replace my friggin tires??? Seems pretty pointless. Or perhaps they should have done this AFTER THEY CHANGED MY TIRES not before.
Your techs claimed they filled my washer fluid. Joke is on them because I literally filled it yesterday. Good to know they pay such close attention and never lie on paperwork.
I just had my tires rotated in June during my oil change and nothing was said to me about studs or lugs. Now suddenly you say I need a $459 repair?? What the hell? You just worked on my car 219 miles ago, so I assume your techs broke my studs/lugs in the process of replacing my tires-thanks jerks. Either that or there were issues you neglected to put in the friggin inspection report.
My timing cover suddenly is “leaking” (vs seeping) and went from green to red in just 219 miles (3 months)?! Probably something that was missed before either by way of negligence or simply lying it was fine before.
I paid for an alignment but my car feels like it pulls to the right when I drive now. Did they even do it??????
I could go on but what’s the point.
I had a close friend who builds performance vehicles review the paperwork for the last two service inspections at Carlson and he is beyond disgusted and doesn’t trust anything on the reports.
Because I can’t trust Carlson Toyota to maintain my car at this point, I have decided to buy a new vehicle instead…shockingly it won’t be from Carlson. In fact, I can’t wait to tell people to avoid your dealership and show them the paperwork from my June appt and the one I had today. Honestly I don’t care if my car is old…I don’t need a new car, can pay for whatever repairs it needs in cash, and hate car shopping…but your terrible service inspired me to buy for a new car instead. I would gladly repair and drive this Prius into the ground another 100k or more, but because of the rampant incompetence at Carlson I’m going to take away my maintenance business from you by giving another dealer a new vehicle purchase instead.

Service was great They kept me updated via text.
There was an issue with warranty coverage and was told two separate opinions on the cost. As it turns out it was covered under warranty so there was no charge.
