Very difficult situation. Car was towed to Honda Oakland on Sunday when service was closed (lost key). Sales manager stored it in service bay and took a note. On Monday I called 7 times. Several times operator transferred me to voicemail but nobody called me back. In afternoon operator sent an email to all service people but again no contact. Called late in day again, but just back to email. On Tuesday I called again and operator explained she had no power to make service pick up. I threatened to call the corporate office and finally she found someone. Service after that was fine.

Tommy Jung was AWESOME - I have nothing but good things to say about him. He was patient, kind and walked me through everything great. However I did receive a charge for replacing my headlights when I said on the phone that is something I will do myself. That was $138.22 that I should not have been charged for. Furthermore, I am very dissatisfied with the fact that Honda of Oakland is now charging a 2.35% fee to credit card charges. Majority of these big expenses for many people are charged to credit cards and you’re Honda, a company who reported $124 BILLION dollars in the most recent earnings report. I understand service fees are charged to vendors, but this is a poor business practice for a company like Honda. I don’t plan on returning for future service checks despite Tommy’s excellent service and care.

I am a loyal customer of 10 years. I only buy Hondas and I get them serviced at your dealerships because I trust you.
After today’s transaction with Hong — I no longer trust your company. And when I replace my car next year I will not buy a Honda.
Your employees tried to scare and bully me into buying new tires, even though I replaced my tires at your location two years ago. They are rated to last until 45,000 miles. I talked to the manager about this, Christina, who recommended I go through an authorized dealer to get a prorated refund on my apparently faulty tires.
This is a problem for me. Why are you selling low quality tires? Or why are your employees trying to scare me (a low paid teacher and public servant) into buying tires a year early?!
Also, no one went through the form with me before check out. So I did not discover I needed the belts and hoses replaced immediately (according to the form). I had to call Honda Oakland three times in a row to get through to ask if this is a real problem. I spoke to Christina again and she said it should be fine until next service.
Your service employees need serious training. They need equity training so they don’t talk to female customers as if we are stupid and can be swindled.
Your practices at Honda Oakland seem unethical at best and is likely illegal consumers practices. Honda should contact me because I am considering legal action.
