I spoke with Will in the Service Department about scheduling my car to be looked at on Monday, April 28th, for having the AC repaired while I was in St. Louis April 25th-29th. Since I now live and Uber in Kansas City, I wanted to be sure I could get the AC repaired as fast as possible and understanding that I may not be able to leave on Tuesday, the 29th, as I originally planned and hoped. Will told me that with ordering the new high pressure hose for the AC, it would take 2-3 business days to arrive, and the best case scenario would be getting back to Kansas City on Thursday, May 1st, and worst case by Saturday May 3rd.
Well, I called each day to see what the status of this hose arriving was, and by Thursday at 3:05p.m. it finally shows up. I was told that they'll be working on replacing the hose the rest of the afternoon/early evening and part of Friday morning in order to get me back on the road to Kansas City Friday afternoon. I assume that with the part getting there Thursday afternoon at 3:05p.m., the service department closing at 6:00p.m., and the opening again at 9:00a.m., and the process for this repair takes anywhere from 2-4 hours to do (my Dad, my girlfriend, and I researched it) that I would be set to go Friday afternoon. So, I call Friday afternoon around 3:00p.m. since I hadn't received an update yet. I was told by a woman named Madison (who I later found out didn't work at Frank Leta, but was an off-site customer care associate) that my car was still being worked on, but Will was running behind helping other customers, so the car would be ready by Saturday morning. I'm disappointed to hear this since my car has been sitting there since Monday, it took 3 days for a small hose to arrive, and the hose hasn't been replaced by Friday afternoon after getting there 24 hours earlier.
My girlfriend and I drive to Frank Leta Saturday morning shortly after the Service Department opened to see when I'll be able to get my car back. Will doesn't work on Saturdays, so I spoke with the Service Advisor, DeAndre Westbrook. He told me that my car was still sitting in the parking lot, which means it hadn't been touched at all! He said Will wouldn't be back til Monday, so I told him I couldn't wait til Monday because I can't afford to spend anymore time in St. Louis than I already have. I explained to DeAndre my sitation, as I told Will, and he understood why I was upset. He went to talk with a few of his co-workers to see what happened. DeAndre comes back maybe 3mins. later and he told me that the incorrect part was ordered earlier in the week, not sure when, but the correct part needed to be ordered (which he was holding in his hand) so that's why my car wasn't being worked on. In all of the conversations I had with Will that week, he never told me they ordered the wrong part and had to reorder the correct one. I was waiting for all this time to find out that other people's car repairs had gone ahead of mine, not notified of the ordering mistake, and at this point I'm very upset. DeAndre was very helpful in explaining that he was a mechanic as well and could get this part installed and it wouldn't take more than 2 hours. He was able to get my car back to me that morning in a record time of 1 hour and 5mins.!!!
Days of waiting didn't have to happen with this repair, and proper communication of a part being incorrectly ordered should've been done. I really appreciate DeAndre for his professionalism and taking his time to do someone else's job so my girlfriend and I could get back home, and he did this while also putting out 2 other fires that same morning! DeAndre was awesome; definitely saved the day! He's the ONLY reason I'm giving my experience a 2-star rating instead of no stars at all!

Frank Leta owed me an oil change from a past visit, I came in to use that oil change only and I explained it to him upon arriving. My last visit I used my Mitsubishi new car warranty service oil change and tire rotation, so all I needed was an oil change! Instead he said he used one of my Mitsubishi services an I received an oil change, tire rotation and a cabin filter change, all services I was waiting to use. All I wanted was an oil change but got more, I went over that again before leaving. Now I have no idea what new car warranty services I have left because he took it upon himself to do more then what I asked for!!! I should have still had an oil change with rotation and an oil change with cabin filter change all Mitsubishi factory warranty services if he would have listen to my request and just did the oil change the dealership owed me from my past visit. I haven’t had good luck so far at your dealership getting service on my new 2024 Highlander and just an FYI after getting my tire rotation I had to go straight to the carwash to get the greasy finger prints off my car and no one tire had the same amount of pressure in it every tire was different according to the cars display

Hospitality was top notch.. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of...I was so scared to take Camela my Don Brown Chevrolet in for help. I was shocked at how fast and professional and down to earth the mechanics were. They made me laugh and they really make a fabulous mechanics team. Everyone made me feel at home and was kindhearted never price pushing. Eventually I didn't have a Mitchubishi I felt like the mechanics were well rounded enough to get the job done and they did...blew my mind 100% when I felt like a number at the other auto shop...you nailed it Frank Leta Mitsubishi this time around..job well done.
