South Coast Toyota Auto Repair Service

I took my car the night before for an oil change and a recall notice. I signed the papers accordingly and requested for my car to be ready before 9:30 for work. Ana sent a message to the wrong number which was not listed on the paperwork I filled out and signed. The message said to reach out to hear in regards to the dashboard which had the tire pressure and maintenance light on. I returned the call and left two voicemails and she never returned the call. I went to Toyota service department to speak with Ana personally and she had an attitude. She said “as you can see I am busy and I was unable to return your call”. I understand that she might have lots of cars to process for service but it doesn’t mean she has to take out her anger and give attitude to customers which are not at fault. However my car did not receive an oil change which was the main reason for me bringing it in. The only service provided was the recall notice that I mentioned. And now I have to do another trip to get the oil change which is a huge inconvenience for me. I will request a new service representative next time I take my car there.

As always, Frank is professional and easy to communicate with. One issue with service this visit. My glove box is out of alignment due to cabin filter not being replaced securely. I will need to bring it back for repair. Thank you.

Great service and kind team members

Francisco was great. Explained the problems I had with my car, was nice. However, the shuttle did not pick me up for over 2 hours after my car was done. I asked for en ETA, they told me I was next, then I waited for another hour. Its awesome that the shuttle is complimentary, and the driver was very nice, but a little more transparency would have been great. Following my service, I went over to the sales/trade ins side of the lot, and had an encounter with a very rude employee. I asked how long it would take to get a quote for my car (Francisco told me they would do that), and the salesmen asked “if we gave you the price you want right now, would you take it immediately,” to which I replied “no, I would probably have to think about it first.” This is what any rational person would do. He replied “I am here to make money. If you want a quote, come back on Monday.” I have work on Mondays, so I said that this was not possible. He then refused to help me again. I don’t expect anything to come from this, but, from a customer’s perspective, I feel you guys would be better off without such a high pressure sales culture. Who knows, I could have bought the nicest car on the lot. .. I probably will, but at another dealership!
