Excellent service is exactly what I got from Bonnie Jimenez. I live in Ventura and the only reason why I bring my car to be serviced here in Santa Barbara is because of Bonnie Jimenez. She always goes above and beyond and I appreciate her thoroughness and completely trust her. I feel that Bonnie should really be recognized for her professionalism and know that her being employed here at Honda should never go unnoticed.

I called Jim and he was able to accommodate the time that I could bring my car in. It was actually the next day at 10:00. He knows me well and takes great care of me. I need to take a 1,000 mile road trip and I believe he did everything my car needed to have a safe road trip. He is a great worker and was engaged with me during the entire visit and he kept me informed about everything that was being done. My safety is the most important and I TRUST JIM.

Bonnie is great, please don't ding her record. The problem is your service technician. Around 6-8 months or so ago my brother mentioned my driver side brake light was out and it had just been serviced. Last service around March, I forgot to mention it but it was still not noticed by your techs. It is still burnt out today and that is three service visits (at least). I still have 2 lights but I guess I should replace it myself now. On Tuesday my car was delivered with brake fluid changed as part of major service but the brake system had not been bled of air which is standard for replacing fluid. I noticed as I slid into the intersection at Hollister and promptly turned around to take it back. Bonnie talked to the technician and he apparently said my brakes were shot. Bonnie came back and asked to look at my paperwork to confirm the mm thickness measured was within limits and it was. She then came back ovee with the technician in person to discuss and he seemed quite rude, defensive, and dismissive of my concerns saying my brakes didn't need to be bled they needed replacement and I felt shocked to even having to debate the point with a DEALER tech something I learned in 10th grade high school auto shop. The manager then came to do "problem customer" resolution and drove my car while I waited and found it really did need to be fixed. It woould have been great here if someone had simply listened to my initial concern and said they will have it rechecked from the get-go and take care of it, why make me feel I need to fight for such an easily verified concern? After awhile later, I was told it wasn't really air in the lines but that they needed to adjust the brakes. Odd since that should be auto adjust going backwards. Then they had the car ready to test saying it was the parking brake that needed adjuatment and maybe a little air. This is complete BS because the parking brake felt fine when I brought it in and I didn't have 8 inches of travel in the pedal. It's like they didn't want to admit to screwing up so they are finding something else to blame. But the brakes seem to be working again. Yay. I drive back to work and now when I park I find the parking brake is so tight that it engages with a single click! At this point I am left wondering if you guys have a surplus of brake shoes and are wanting more brake jobs to do or what? But I didn't smell my brake shoes burning so maybe it is ok...? I didn't bring it up on my 2nd visit as I have important work to do and wanted to get my 2nd visit for the drive belt over with and move on. I've been coming to SB Honda for a few years now and up till the last few visits I've not had any problems but I am sensing a theme here... missing important safety related details around brake lights, brake fluid, parking brake adjuatmemt is recipie for death and while I appreciate all the overtures from Bonnie and management, the entire reason I get dealer service in the first place is to have peace of mind on my long distance commuter workhorse not breaking down. Now that I live in Santa Clarita I do have a lot more options. I was planning to also bring down my Civic Si this week to be serviced but I think I am going to keep it in the SCV. I'm not sure if I will return with the Fit in the future. Sorry for this way overly long comment but I felt I should at least explain the complete situation from my end. Thanks.

Very efficient and pragmatic. Price was higher than I could have received in SB. It will force me to check around more thoroughly. We have a 05 Pilot which has been our best car in our life. I thank Honda for that.
