When scheduling my oil change, I asked the scheduling coordinator if my brake cable repair could be done the same day and she said yes. Prior to this when the vehicle was taken in for another repair in November a service technician advised that they couldn’t fix the brake issue that day and it would be a simple and quick fix when the vehicle comes back for an oil change. When I took it in on 1/10/23 for the oil change and brake repair at 9:30am, the service adviser said it most likely won’t be able to be completed; possibly by the end of the day. The adviser gave an update and said the vehicle needs to be kept over night and it will be done first thing in the morning. I called for an update at around 10:30am and it was still not complete. At 1:45pm the vehicle was done. This was very inconvenient for my wife’s work schedule. If the brake issue was a quick fix, I don’t understand how it couldn’t get squeezed in and honor our time slot.

It is not Maria’s fault. However, being an owner of all GM vehicles, I would hope that GM would keep a stock of replacement parts. Also, this is the first time, that so many parts failed. It is my hope that someone could secure a catalytic converter for 2017 Chevy Cruz somewhere and have it shipped expeditiously to paradise.

It was a pleasure working with Chris, when I dropped my car off he explained all of the warranty information so I understood when I may need to pay for the repairs or not.
