I had been waiting a couple of years for a recall to be issued to my car on the backup camera. It sometimes shuts off as I’m trying to back up which is obviously a safety concern. Upon being issued a recall in the mail for my VIN from Ford, I was excited to get the part replaced at the dealer. When I took it in, however, dealer claimed that a replacement part was not justified after the inspection. They did add a support part to hopefully reduce the strain on the harness. I will not pleased if the issue with my backup camera persists, especially since it has been recalled by Ford.
