Christian was pleasant and try to help, however the experience was exhausting and time-consuming, what should’ve taken one day took a week. I received a notice of non-compliance. When I renewed my vehicle tags, the notice stated that the vehicle had been recalled, I entered the Vin number Into the into the Honda website. It stated that all recalls have been satisfied. I then called Christian at Honda service Vista. He said that I needed a paper certificate and I would have to come to the Honda Service Center which is a 45 minute drive from my home in Fallbrook. When I arrived at the service center, Christian stated that the vehicle needed a fuel tank replacement, which would take one day, and he needed to order the necessary parts. When I arrived at the service center, Christian stated that the vehicle needed a fuel tank replacement, which would take one day, and he needed to order the necessary parts from Los Angeles. A day later, Christian stated that he had received the wrong fuel tank, he needed to re-order another one from Los Angeles. The next day, after Christian had notified me that the fuel tank had arrived, I dropped off the car at the dealership, and Christian provided a lift driver back to my home. The next day, Christian called and said the maintenance team could not find the necessary tool to change out the fuel tank, he would need to order one from Los Angeles. The next day, Christian was on vacation, the service manager, Ray?, Said he was embarrassed, the tool for the fuel tank replacement was wrong, he needed to order another. Is it offer and I accepted a rental car if I would stop by the dealership which I did. After another two days, Christian called and said my car is ready. The DMV certificate for completion of the recall, he said would have to be taken personally into DMV. When I went to DMV Oceanside, they were temporary close, so, i’ve used the Fallbrook private agency to go to DMV on my behalf at $37. I don’t understand why this simple recall was not coordinated by Honda? Why the notice of recall was never sent to me or published on the Honda website for recalls? why does Honda not coordinate what parts are required before the customer brings the vehicle to the dealership? Ernesto was extremely helpful. The last agent I worked with dismissed my concerns about a broken break light and I ended up driving with only one break light for an extra few weeks until I was able to come back in. Ernesto checked in on everything that I asked about and provided comprehensive answers. Additionally, his customer service skills are excellent, he is very personable.
