I’ve been going to Roseville Toyota for provably 20-25 years! All the service advisers i have had over the years have been great, but Jon Pepper was excellent! He genuinely cared that I was happy with the service today. And when I brought to his mind my concerns, he zeroed in on each of them and went to great lengths to explain to me in a way that made sense (I’m not a mechanic, so he explained it to where I could understand). He has a special gift of connecting and communicating with people in a very honest and trustworthy way. He will be an advisor that I will definitely request next time I need service for my car!

Where to begin...
I initially made an appointment for Saturday 1/18 but it turns out the representative made it for Friday instead. No problem, I was able to reschedule it for Saturday.
Upon arriving Saturday I was offered a maintenance package because the mileage on my 4Runner was at 150k. I went ahead and ordered the deluxe service for around $950. The advisor told me they would try to have the job done by closing time or Sunday AM at the latest. I said no problem, take as much time as you need to get the job done right. I also informed them that there was a nail in my right front passenger tire.
Around 4:45PM the advisor called me and asked if I could come in around five thirty to finalize the paperwork before closing. He also said I needed a new battery. I authorized the battery replacement. When I asked about the tire he didn’t seem to know what I was talking about and I had to explain again what the issue was. He said no problem he will have the tech check it out.
When I arrived apparently they were still working on the tire repair and had to finish that before finalizing the paperwork. I was asked to wait in the lounge and said no problem.
When the paperwork was finally done (sometime after six) I in the service area when the pulled my vehicle out I saw what looked like a smudge on the right rear passenger door. I was in a hurry to get back home to my family as they were waiting for dinner. There was also a cabin air filter on the passenger seat (turns out the one installed was still good so they said I could keep it until replacement was needed.
When I saw the “smudge” in the daylight it turned out be a dent and scratch in the paint. Had I known the delay was going to happen I would have insisted on finalizing the paperwork Sunday morning. I called and left a voicemail for the service manager Sunday and as of 9AM Monday have yet to hear back.
