Honestly, one of the most horrible experiences I’ve ever had not only at a dealership, but just personally . A few key points that happened during a few days my car was there. I came for two issues. One my car was having an extremely hard time accelerating. I barely made it to the dealership. It wouldn’t get over 10 miles an hour. The other were that the radar lights were on. I know these lights were on because I had hit something over six months ago and the lights came on and they had informed me that it was a sensor that had to be replaced but that the car was fine so I continue to drive my vehicle no Problem. My main concern for the vehicle being brought in was the car, not accelerating as it should be. When I dropped it off, I informed the service writer, Julia of these two issues. She informed me that it would be $300 to diagnose both issues. I agree this was extremely important to me as my wife depends on this vehicle to get to work lately so I agreed within two hours. I got a call from Julia saying that my car just needed the sensor to be replaced for $1400. I said I am aware of that thank you but my main concern was the acceleration issue, she proceeded to say the technician test drove the vehicle and felt no problems and that there was no lights on so that the acceleration issue was fine. It was just a sensor. I find that extremely hard to believe when my vehicle barely made it to the dealership so I told that to Julia and she said really OK. I’ll have my technician test drive it again so after I expressed my disbelief that they were unable to feel the acceleration issue I was contacted back from the dealership and I was told oh yes now the technician after driving it again felt the problem we’re gonna need to do another test called a fail leak test and that will be another $300 I reluctantly agreed because it concerned me that I had to asked for them to take another test drive to find the problem to me. It seems like they just saw the lights from the radar and figured that’s the problem that’s replaced it for $1400 and let the customer go on their way still having the acceleration issue, it’s hard to believe that I had to tell a technician to re-drive the car and then they found the problem. Then I was told I would get a call back to give me the details on what the issue was. I got a call back the next day keep in mind it’s been three days now saying that the issue was a misfire and they would have to send it to a machine shop to be all the way broken down and they will cost $5100 At this point, I was just upset with the whole process and also with the runaround and especially with me having to reiterate my problems to the dealership so they can be able to fix it and then they just pop out with this number so I politely declined the service to have my vehicle ready, and I proceeded to come to pick it up. as soon as I arrived was not pleasant, she seemed very upset Julia Did not explain anything to me about my vehicle just put some paperwork in front of me and didn’t say anything. I asked her do I have to sign. She said yes here so I signed in the location she pointed to and then walk Outside to receive my vehicle as soon as my wife got into the vehicle, she noticed all of the lights were on several lights that were not on when we bought in the vehicle there was a power steering light on a brake light on a check engine light on none of these lights were on when we bought in the vehicle the only light that was on where the radar lights. So we went back in why all the lights were on and she came out and said because of the issues your car is having we expressed that we understood that the car was having issues, but still couldn’t understand why we’re receiving the car back and a different condition then how we brought it in. She was not being helpful and explaining that there was nothing she could do so we asked to speak to the manager. Now I feel like the manager was pre-warned that we might be upset because as soon as we walked in to speak to the manager, he was already rude and condescending. I was very polite and explain to him the situation, and he continue to cut me off and tell me well I don’t know what you want me to do I said, could you please come take a look at the lights on the dashboard? These lights were not on when I bought the car The manager which I did not get his name was bald short man probably in his 40s skinny and very rude.I believe this would be the most distinguishing factor. He proceeded to explain that he would not go outside and look at the lights, because he was not a technician, continuing to cut me off as I was talking and he doesn’t know what those lights are, he stated in a very condescending way that he trusted his mechanic of 25 years name, Martin, but again, being very sarcastic and condescending I expressed to him that I don’t know how he’s so trusting of his mechanic of 25 years when I had to be the one to tell them to drive it again in order to find the issue they were just trying to return it to me with a faulty sensor that would’ve caused $1400 and I would’ve still had my acceleration issue the manager continue to be rude and unprofessional in front of his staff and other customers and said I’m not gonna go out there and check your lights. Your car has problems and you don’t want to fix it so that’s why the lights are on expressed to him that I understood the car had problems. My concern was that the vehicle was not in the same condition as when I drove it in the vehicle did not have any other lights that were now currently flashing on the dashboard and the customer service I was receiving just to try to get my car back in the same condition was poor, especially from this person who calls themselves a manager I am trying to be be even very professional as I write this message, but my disbelief to the disrespect that was shown that day is beyond me. I would hope such a trusted business like Honda allows this manager be a reflection of their company. I’m scared of the thought of how a single mother or an elderly lady might be treated or scammed out of spending their life savings on a simple fix because these people work off of commission and are upset when you choose not to do a $5100 service at the end of the day I was very respectful I just showed up to receive my vehicle. I wasn’t there to argue I just wanted my condition back in the same Condition as I brought it in not lights added on not with attitude from a service agent and manager for no reason not trying to be made belittled in front of everyone in the establishment. It is safe to say that I will never return to this facility and I hope this review gets to the right person so something can be done to improve the customer service.
