I went in to get my account fixed they replaced the evaporater and condenser and now my oil is leaking I checked my self and they tampered with it in some way because I never put seal on when I do my own oil changes.

I recently took my ‘07 hybrid in because of the IMA warning light came on. I was told that the hybrid battery had to be replaced so naturally I asked how much it would be & he told me “around” $2,500. And after all was said & done, the real actual cost was a little more than $4,200. Quite a bit more than $2,500. And then they told me that a tie rod boot was damaged and leaking grease needed replacement along with ball joints and transmission mounts were damaged and needed replacement. I am not a mechanic and I cannot help feeling like I may have been ripped off. The only way for me to know for sure if all of that work really needed to be done was for me to actually see the damaged parts myself. Since that was impossible I have to trust that they were not screwing me!! But like I said before, I cannot help feeling ripped off.
