I just don't like the different quotes you from different ford dealers. I was quoted 175 at one dealer just to get a key made.then I got a 250 quote from another, and was charged 376 at Ford Grapevine.

In regards to my 2016 MKX- the reason for me bringing my car in after it was improbably towed was because I trusted Lincoln and I just knew they would be direct with me and give no bs. Unfortunately, now I feel differently. I came in for the estimate to get the car repaired. I did get my estimate, however further damage was discovered later down the line. The initial estimate was 1500+. I took the estimate to the towing company and they agreed to pay it. I brought the car in on March 15th to get the repairs started, that's when I received an email that further damage was discovered and it will cost me an additional 3700+ of repairs. At this point I've already signed liability away from the towing company with the understanding & trust that Lincoln tech or mechanic did their due diligence and I was completely in the clear. That was not the case. Bob and Stephen did explain to me that some if these items can surface later. That personally did not sit well with me, I was in tears at this point because I couldn't afford the repairs and my MKX is losing value. All of this lead to me trading my car in, my appraisal came in at 17k. I went from a 22k value to 17k. My payments went from a 300 range to 700 range, I still feel in my heart that could have been avoided. The MKX was my favorite car and I lost it behind negligence of the towing company and what I feel an oversight from the Lincoln mechanic. I don't blame Bob nor Stephen because they were not under the car, but I do Blame the mechanic who completed the first estimate. By this being an AWD vehicle and a Lincoln, there should have been more due diligence done knowing it was improperly towed vs just focusing on the obvious. To add salt to the wound, the rear axles was on back order with no ETA. No one could directly tell me if i could still drive the car or not. I assumed not since no one wanted to provide me with an affirmative answer. To be frank, I'm ticked off behind all of this and it has altered my trust overall. Someone could have advised to wait to sign anything because more damage could surface later, I didn't receive any advice of the sort. I also thought someone would assist in getting the appraisal a little higher, especially knowing the back story but no. Sandy in sales, I don't believe put much effort in talking to the appraiser either. This was a lesson learned for me but I do hope Lincoln learns from this experience as well. Overall no, I'm not satisfied with the mechanic who serviced my car because in the end I'm the one paying a higher car note and not the mechanic. Till this day, I do believe the mechanic dropped the ball when inspecting my vehicle. The only Reason I gave two stars was for the service Bob and Stephen gave. If it was based on the mechanic alone, it would have been zero stars.
