Bob was great. I had a follow-up question on Saturday after my service and Emily did a great job too.
I took my Outback in for regular service maintainence and battery issue as there was acid on it. It’s only 2 years old, so shouldn’t be doing this as it’s relatively still brand new with little miles on the vehicle. They did a battery test and started they were going to clean the battery acid off the battery and bracket holding it down. I drove home and looked under my hood and wasn’t even touched. All they did was probably hooked up a computer to the car and run test without doing a visual inspection for cracks on the battery which could cause gasses leaking cause if the corrosion. I should have inspected it before leaving the dealership as I can’t trust what is to be done and said. Not the service riders fault, but the technician. I’ll have to find another Subaru dealership to have services done on my vehicle because I’ve had a few other issues in the past with this service department in Carlsbad.
Why make an appointment if you’re still going to wait 2.5 hours?

I told Julian that I had had an accident the week before, even said it was my first
accident in my life. I couldn’t see the Free Estimate sign from where I was
standing. It would have been great if he had told me about the free estimate. Also, due to construction near my home, it was taking forever to exit from my subdivision to a nearby road. We live about 0.8 miles south of the Camp Pendleton South Gate. Cars were streaming out onto what was normally a 2 lane road and I gave up after over 15 minutes. Since I rarely drive, I forgot about Friday afternoon traffic. Figured the I-5 south would be similar. I would never get to you guys in time. So I called and asked what your Saturday service hours were. I was told 7:30 to 1:30. I got there at 1:08pm and was told you were closed.
Someone eventually helped me, but it would be nice if your employees knew what your hours were. Really nice. A woman was there person who told me the hours. She didn’t give her name.
I understand that you are trying to serve as many customers as possible by making a reservation of 3 vehicles at the same time slot. Unbelievable! I was asked to wait over 2 hours when I arrived. I rejected and offered to return in 1 hr and half which I did! An hr and half later I was told to wait for another 2 hrs to get my car serviced. I negotiated for an hr finally.
When the entire globe is going through pandemic, you are asking people to wait outside or in a waiting area is 100% a bad call. I wonder why health department hasn't done something about it. Scenario: Imagine if asymptomatic covid-19 positive person is with in the proximity, others and I will highly be infected. Because you think that booking 3 people at the same time interval is a good idea!
I won't be coming back and I will also warn my loved ones to avoid dealers like yours. Just for the sake of public health.

The service from Zachary Lenfesty was awesome! I can’t think of one thing I would change. The service department was busy, however, he explained what had been done, answered my questions and I never felt rushed.
