I identified clear coat finish defects on truck cab roof during previous service visit in October, 2017 (Inv. Num. 2030948). Service representative looked at roof defects and alerted service technicians of issues for further action. When I returned to pick-up the truck, I was told pictures had been taken and would be sent to GMC for warranty authorization (Item 3 on invoice states ‘Took pictures. Waiting on auth.). Then, once authorized, a local finish repair shop would be able to correct clear coat issues. Unfortunately, I was never notified of any further developments. When I brought vehicle back for service on May 2nd I asked about status of clear coat repair authorization. I discovered no action had been taken on part of the dealership. Service representative remembered clear coat issue and pictures having been taken, but did not know what happened to the pictures. Service manager looked at clear coat issues after my inquiries during service appointment on 5/2 and had vehicle taken to local shop for evaluation. I was told by service representative that he'd consult service manager and contact me. However, no documentation of discussed actions exists and I am unsure if any action will take place based on previous results..............
