I brought my vehicle to **** Hannah with a catastrophic engine failure on a MY 2010 vehicle with only 53,000 miles. From doing my own research I learned that this was very likely due to a failed timing chain tensioner, a problem that VW is well aware of, and is well documented in a TSB. Rather than **** Hannah working with me, they were immediately defensive, claiming that this catastrophic failure was likely due to being a quart low on oil. After debating back and forth with the assigned service manager, I made the decision to pull my vehicle from **** Hannah and take my business elsewhere. It wasn’t until this point that **** Hannah decided to attempt to work with me. I then was contacted by the service manager’s manager, who attempted to work with me on my claim to *potentially* get some reimbursement from VWoA. I explained that while I was appreciative of his assistance, I believe I should have received that customer service from the beginning, rather than receiving it only after I decide to have my vehicle towed elsewhere for repair. I then paid 412.00 that had been approved to date for diagnostics (I hadn’t even gotten to a repair estimate for that amount of money) and had my vehicle towed to an reputable independent shop that understands customer service. Because of this experience I will never give any business to the **** Hannah brand, and I will actively advise others to do the same.
