Poor communication on the washer repairs initially requested when my vehicle was in for tuneup up and windshield replacement. Had to bring the vehicle back. Won’t come back. Other dealerships in the region!
We took our 4Runner in for an oil change and to point out the yellow exclamation mark on the dashboard was on. The attendant said that it would go away after the oil change but it still on.

I had an outstanding experience working with Kaylee Rogers as my Service Advisor. From the moment I arrived, she was warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. Kaylee took the time to clearly explain what my vehicle needed and made sure I understood every part of the process.
Her communication was excellent—she kept me updated throughout the service, answered all of my questions with patience, and provided honest recommendations without any pressure. Zach excellent customer service and remembered me from my last visit. Also very knowledgeable on vehicle maintenance on some questions I asked him about vehicle.
Problems started while traveling from Georgia. Visited Newnan Toyota to get check engine light checked. They diagnosed o2 sensor and approved me to drive back to Mississippi with confidence. When I arrived at J. Allen the next morning for my appointment, I showed the service pro my diagnosis and he took it inside and ordered the part. He told me someone would call me to reschedule for Tuesday. No one ever called and I got a text saying I missed my appointment. I called and rescheduled for Tuesday and reiterated that the part needed to be ordered. I got confirmation that the part was ordered before we hung up the call. On Monday I got a call saying I missed my appointment, and she wasn’t aware that I was scheduled for Tuesday. However, she also verified the part was ordered before I hung up the call. Then, I re-rescheduled through the phone call. When I arrived on Tuesday, Zach was confused why I was there. None of the notes from my previous three conversations with J.Allen were attached to my truck’s history. He never told me if the part was there or not. I left my truck there for the day thinking they were just going to install the o2 sensor. He called me right at close and said the technician working on my truck was “stumped” and thinks it’s more than just the o2 sensor and needed to contact Toyota corporate to get help. I approved them keeping my truck overnight. On Wednesday I called around 2pm asking for an update but they told me the technician didn’t show up to work that day. I didn’t get a phone call or anything prior to my call requesting to keep my truck another day. On Thursday I called twice that morning trying to get an update but there wasn’t much of an update. I was prepared to take my truck from J. Allen regardless of the results or the troubleshooting, but Zach eventually did call me with good news. He called me at 4:30pm on Thursday letting me know it was the o2 sensor the whole time and the truck was ready to be picked up. I was in Mobile AL at the time having dinner and rushed back to pick up my truck. I arrived at 5:54pm 6 minutes before closing and the lights were off and when I approached the service desk all the employees just looked at me like I was ruining their evening. They eventually got my truck and I was out. The whole experience was surprising and disappointing. I thought Toyota service would be a better experience. I’m happy my truck is working for now but I will never return to J.allen Toyota in for future warranty repairs.
