I had my brake pads changed and fluid flushed. It took 6 1/2 hours. I wasn't informed until 4 hours in that yes it takes a while. Then I get my car back and the maintenance light is still on. The cost was outrageous. I stopped going to Hattiesburg Toyota dealership a few years back because of all those issues. Now this dealership is getting that way. I'll be skipping extra maintenance issues in the future and only come when a normal maintenance routine is due. Just a very unpleasant experience.

Aj was great! He took care of me to the best of his abilities. He is very professional. I would recommend Aj to other customers. Only problem I have is always bringing in my car back to Toyota because the techs weren’t careful and accidentally messing something else up while fixing something.

Zach did a great job listening to my concerns and for arranging Tim to ride in my car to hear what my concerns were. Tim without a doubt diagnosed the problem and Zach coordinated all the work getting done. Thank you both because I honestly didn’t feel safe driving the car.

Rose was attentive and prompt. We went over the maintenance items, and in agreement. I went inside to wait, and after a couple of hours Rose came out and showed me the paperwork of the work performed and what it cost. She had brought my truck around, washed off, and I was good to go. The initial service was fine, but in December when I had come back to get the missing part installed, I had a terrible experience. Two weeks prior to the December service, I was told that this particular installation would take an hour at most. I had specifically asked for a timeframe because I have work on the weekdays, and taking time off work needed approval from my manager. I had an extra hour allotted into my schedule just in case it would take longer than anticipated. I arrived at 9AM. My servicing paper said the promised time for completion would be around 10:30AM. I received an Uber ride to take me someplace while I waited. And then I kept waiting. I got impatient around 12:30 because I had promised my boss I’d be back sooner than that. I called the dealership and the representative informed me all the techs took lunch and wouldn’t be back until 1:00PM. So I was stuck at the bookstore, unsure when I could even return to work. My boss was chewing me out for missing time at work when I told him I’d be back much sooner. I received a text that my vehicle was ready at 1:18. Eager to get picked up, I had the service guys schedule me an Uber ride back — only the system was down. Which took another 20 minutes to figure out until they just decided to send someone from the valet to pick me up. I was given the customer relations manager’s number and had left her a voicemail — she never reached out. Additionally, AJ had told me she would reach back out after he informed her of the situation — that never happened either. I’m lead to believe this was just a tactic to placate me in the moment, or maybe the relations manager didn’t care at all about my predicament and shoddy service. This lack of attention and poor customer service has left me very bitter, and I frankly don’t see myself coming back, nor recommending this dealership in particular to anyone I know. Perhaps if this was addressed sooner than I would feel better, but the lack of attention despite being very wronged on my part, and complete disregard for reaching out to me despite the initial concerns and complaints I have made, has convinced me that Allen Toyota could care less about their customers, especially if they’re just regular old customers like me. I came back to work understandably stressed, and my boss was very upset with me for the situation. I lost hours stuck somewhere when I could have been working instead. And even though I mentioned this to the two people I could reach at Toyota, only half-hearted apologies were given, along with the empty promise that someone would reach out to me. AJ was stellar for the most part. I don’t blame him — I blame the terrible system in place and poor disregard for customer satisfaction that this dealership seems to carry.

The technician turned sharply moving my truck and slashed my tire and bumped my step rail, scuffing it. The dealership installed a new tire but left the tire with the installation grease all around the rim. They apologized but I’m definitely not satisfied with what occurred.

Past appointments were several hours. I know J Allen had taken some bad reviews due to this… However, this appointment was speedy. I trust my car with J Allen. I travel all over the state and have used other Toyota Service Departments and do not think they take care of the customer (or my car) like this Service Department does. Even though I have had to wait in the past, I would still use J Allen due to the attention to the customer and the level of detail the service technician gives my vehicle.
