I had a very disappointing experience at Toyota. I brought my 2024 vehicle in, and I was immediately pressured into over $1,200 worth of “recommended” services and fluid flushes that did not align with my owner’s manual recommendations. When I asked the service advisor, Manuel R Hernandez, for the specific mechanical reasons these services were necessary, the explanations were extremely vague. I was repeatedly told the fluids “looked weak,” that my car had “too many miles” at only 50,000 miles, and that the El Paso heat causes fluids to go bad faster. However, according to Toyota’s own maintenance schedule, many of these services are not recommended until much later mileage intervals. What bothered me most was the attitude and lack of professionalism. When I explained that a 2024 Toyota with 50,000 miles should still be considered relatively new and reliable, I was told my car was “old” and that if it were “new” it would still be sitting on the dealership lot. The advisor also became condescending whenever I asked questions or requested more detailed explanations. I also find it disappointing that the service representatives who treated customers respectfully no longer seem to work there, while the employee who has repeatedly been rude and unprofessional continues to represent the dealership. I understand maintenance is important, but customers deserve honest, evidence-based recommendations instead of fear-based sales tactics. If services are truly necessary, service advisors should be able to clearly explain WHY beyond “the fluid looks weak” or “it’s hot outside.” I left feeling pressured, dismissed, and disappointed.

It took two weeks to get the vehicle back; No loaner; Communication was very limited and I always had to call and wait on a call back; As of today less than two weeks of pick up the check engine light is back on and a previous issue with the AC that was repaired is back as well
