I would give my experience a 3 out of 5. The biggest complaint I have is that Jim Shorkey Toyota didn’t even give me a basic 3 month warranty. This left me with a bad feeling about the car that I was purchasing. I am scratching my head about what service Jim Shorkey actually provided. I have bought other cars from smaller dealers and received better assurances. In my estimation it probably included 4 new tires, an inspection, and a car cleaning. Definitely nice services, but not worth the $5-8k markup from what the former owner was likely paid. Secondarily, we were supposed to be done at the dealer by 11:30 am since we had arrived at 9:15 am. However, due to multiple issues like the license plate not having been removed and the car needing to be better cleaned, we didn’t leave till after 2 pm - not quite the best way to burn a vacation day. I hope time will prove this to be a good purchase, but the experience didn’t leave me with the best impression of Jim Shorkey.
