If someone is overwhelmed then delicate the work. Rodney seems a little snippy and was arrogant but glad you all figured out the problem on my brothers car

I just made my appt not long ago. It was at 10am. My car was done at 12:30pm! If service was so busy why was I even scheduled for today?! School is out. I had my 3 kids with me. There were a couple of cracker packs in the refreshment area.. thank goodness I had some cash/change for the snack machine. I didnt get a car wash.(which bothered me last time). I believe I will be driving back to Buckhannon toyota from now on.

The overall experience with the gentlemen I worked with was great. However, the brief encounter I had with (I would say was his service manager) was awful! I didn’t catch his name, but he had to bring him over to inquire about a question I had because while I was there getting 3 recalls on my husbands new Tundra fixed I was wondering if he still qualified for a free oil change? Apparently, looking at the account the gentleman (service manager?) rudely pointed out we never utilized any of the Toyota care benefits and that we were (I believe 4,000 miles) past the opportunity to get a free oil change.
It was one thing to politely point that out, but it was another to address it the way he did. We don’t live in Morgantown or Fairmont (where we purchased the vehicle (New) originally. Considering-this manager saw where we didn’t utilize any of those benefits and I was there for 3 recalls already there for recalls for on a new $48,000 vehicle in less 8 months old I would have thought an offer of a free oil change could of been worked out, instead I received his attitude. Overall, the truck recalls was completed quickly and I appreciate all the help the gentleman I mainly interacted with.
I’m just sorry, the service department has someone in a management position that doesn’t do better making a positive impression on the customers. Especially since I am in the market for a vehicle.

He done a good job. Rodney is a different story. You don’t yell at an employee while the customer is standing there. Derek had only been working there for 5 days and wasn’t showed had to to do a service order with out tire rotation. I understood that but Rodney yelled at him instead of showing him the right way to do the order. Rodney is very unprofessional.
I have no problems with the service. But, I have one problem. My car was set to show what my speed is in big numbers. I use that because my speedometer is not as easy to keep track of my exact speed. I need to know that because I am monitored by my insurance company. But when I got my car back it had been set to something else, not sure what. I didn’t notice it at first because it was pouring down rain and I was anxious to get home. By the time I got to the interstate and saw that it wasn’t on the speed number where I have always kept it, it was too late to come back to the dealership. Please leave it where I had it or, at least, put it back where I had it when you’ve completed the service. Thank you. (I’m not mad at the service man!)
