I arrived at 1:30 for a 2:00 express appointment and got in my car at 3:00. At 2:30 the advisor told me I didn’t need an oil change and they didn’t recommend a tire rotation because the tires need to be replaced. I ultimately asked them to do both because I was there. I purchased the tires less than a year ago and had the car aligned. I noticed that every person getting their car serviced is told they either need, a new cabin filter, new wipers, and new tires. Feels like a lot of selling

Work performed properly and technician explained everything well. My only dissatisfaction is the fact that settings on vehicle are not returned to position I left them. Headlight was in "auto" mode. When it got dark, I didn't immediately realize that I was driving without my headlamps on. Not the only time this happened, so providing this feedback to pass along.

My rep was fine, but when I called before coming in, I was told $40 on the phone, but it was $50 at the shop. It is unacceptable to quote one price over the phone and and charge more when you’re there. Also, I had this same service performed at smart motors on a different vehicle in April 2017. All in, I paid $25.11. In today’s dollars, that’s about $33. I paid $62 today for the exact same service. I’m shocked by the huge real dollar increase, amplified by price info that was probably not an intentional bait and switch, but infuriating none the less. Again, my service rep Ian is not to blame for any of this, he was professional and doing his job. My gripe is with Smart Motors, which before today I had good experiences and thought was a reputable company, but am now thinking, like so many companies, is banking on the reputation they built in order to squeeze their customers for a little higher margin. Smart Motors will no longer be high on my list of options on where to go for service or when it’s time for a new car.
