Labor cost to replace the viper rubbers is insane. Charging close to an hour rate for small part replacement.

Three weeks ago I received 8 error messages while driving and my car started dinging with lights flashing and I didn't know if it was safe to drive. I was advised to stop by and see if the local Kokomo, IN Honda dealership offered a Free Diagnostic Test to see what the problem might be. After walking through an empty dealership, I found someone who took me to service where apparently all of the techs were doing training. They told me that they could run a diagnostic test for $80 in 30 minutes instead of the normal 60 minute test that they normally do. I agreed. They told me that the battery was "Good" but that I should replace it anyway and all of the errors would disappear. I paid them $83.00 and went down to AutoZone to have them run the FREE scan because I was skeptical. Their readout said that my battery was a Good battery and that it was charging at 100% but that maybe it was my alternator. I felt like I got scammed out of $83.00 from Kokomo Honda!!! I then took it to a mechanic that I know. He specializes in Chrysler vehicles so he did not want to just throw parts at it but advised that his ProDemand scanner pointed towards an O2 sensor or PCM. I then called Lafayette, IN Honda dealership and made an appointment for another diagnostic test and this time I found my warranty paperwork. They diagnosed the issue and fixed the problem. I want to know (1) why would two different HONDA DEALERSHIPS diagnosis differently and (2) can I get my $83.00 back? I feel like I was scammed or the technician that "looked" at my car didn't know what he was doing? I do not want the resolution to this situation to be some dumb coupons to go back to the dealership for some unwanted and unneeded services that will ultimately cost me more money in the end.

I have nothing but good things to say about how helpful and courteous everyone I had contact with was. I was there to get my car about 10 minutes before they closed and no one made me feel like a hassle, no one made me feel rushed and my visit was perfect.
never i have met someone with such great customer service, i mean i was completey blown away how well he treated us and not even just us but other people that. we personal always hated big brands like honda and toyota dealerships in lafayette they don't care about the customer. but to some it up anthony customers service makes me want to drive an hour away every time i have a problem with my cars.
