I was greeted promptly upon my arrival. We worked through the intake sheet and was told I would hear from the facility soon, which I did. Within an hour or so I was told how the checkup went and soon after told my car was “ready to go home.” I have two Prius (Prii?) and have always relied on Baxter for their care. I will undoubtedly continue.
My service advisor Nick was great and I have no complaints about him. He did a great job.
I took my car in to have the battery system inspected. They recommend that I replace my alternator for about $850 and I accepted the install.
Once I arrived back home after the alternator replacement I thought I might check the battery terminal voltage to make sure everything was good. Turns out, the battery voltage was below 12V and the new alternator was not plugged in (I can provide photos if needed). I was able to plug it in myself however if I had not checked my battery immediately after the service appointment it would likely have died randomly potentially leaving me stranded on the road, incurring more service costs to me.
While I understand that accidents happen, it is unacceptable to me that I should have to review service work myself when I’m paying over $800 for certified Toyota dealer service.
Furthermore, this suggests to me that the battery system was not tested after the alternator was replaced as it would have been immediately obvious that the alternator was not hooked up if the battery terminal voltage was tested while the car was idling after the install.
I have been taking my car in for service for 10+ years at Baxter and I am considering purchasing a new vehicle from the dealership since my car is getting old. This is the first time there has been a problem. I hope to continue doing business with Baxter Toyota in the future. Thank you.
Ethan is amazing, always available to email and talk for any maintenance I needed and helped with my warranty process. I normally despise going to dealerships, but this one was the easiest I’ve ever had to deal with. Ended up saving myself about 6K dollars with his help. Cannot recommend Baxter La Vista enough.

Got mileage wrong which made me have to come back AGAIN in 1,200 miles for suggested service

Jonathan was very helpful since I am a little handicapped due to a fall and a broken left wrist and a bad back. He explained everything to me that was OK with the car and I didn’t need any further work done other than the routine that was performed by the mechanics. He even went and got my car where it was parked out in the parking lot further away and brought it into the bay so that I didn’t have to walk that far. He is an awesome asset to the Toyota company here in Lavista and I would like him to know that I appreciate everything that he did for me.

I live in Des Moines, but was in Omaha for vacation. I decided to get recall work done at Baxter Toyota. Wow! What a great experience. Everyone was kind, professional and helpful. Best customer waiting area I’ve ever been in. So much better than Toyota if Des Moubes. Definitely a 10 out of 10!
My service experience today with Johnny was excellent. However, I have waited for several weeks to get the service completed because my sales person did not return my calls inquiring how and when I could get the protective film applied to the Highlander. We paid for this at the time of purchase. The follow up was not great but after speaking to Evan on Monday arrangements were made to get the job done today.
