One of the reasons for the visit was the safety recall on the vehicle. I was informed that the safety measures could not be completed unless I purchased a new $225 battery for the car. I am confused as to how a manufacturer can issue a safety recall due to an issue created by them and require the owner to spend $225 to have the work completed. I am very frustrated with this situation.
