I talked with another service member about the following issue upon picking up my car, but basically I was fine with his communication on the issue found and letting me know when the vehicle was ready. My issue was that upon dropping off my car I told him the issues I was having with the car he told me okay and talked about the diagnostic fee of $170. I said okay, but when he called to tell me why one issue was happening and how it could be fixed he said to investigate the other issue it would be another $170 diagnostic fee. This has never been my experience before. When I asked about it being a diagnostic fee per issue he was adamant that it was that way there (I’ve been in this service department a lot unfortunately, and I know that hasn’t been the case). I declined figuring out the other issues because I didn’t want to pay another fee. Another issue (I didn’t mention this to anyone) I observed was when I was waiting to check in at his desk…an elderly couple came to check on their car. The service worker at the desk next to him asked about it because it was apparently his client. Mike was very gruff and defensive about it and told the worker (and passive aggressively the elderly man because he didn’t address him directly) he tried calling but no one answered. The elderly man was trying to be nice about it, while still standing up for the fact that his number was listed as the main number. Again, Mike’s response was defensive and rude. The couple dropped it at that point and just worked with the other worker. I was concerned about working with him after witnessing that interaction. I understand that he is from a different part of the country (he offered that in conversation) and through experience I know that the culture is very different here. I would just hope in a service related job, good service could be of a higher value. I come to this service department from Knoxville because everyone has always been extra nice and capable. I hope that continues to be the culture despite who is at the desk.

5/3/24-I came in for what I thought was routine maintenance and was told they would need to change out the AWD fluid on this visit and was charged $130. When I bought the vehicle, I was told the first 2 years of routine maintenance were free. I inquired why they needed to be changing AWD fluid already and I was told, “this is routine maintenance”. I then asked why then was I having to pay for what is considered routine maintenance. I was basically blown off by the service manager. 5/2/25-I took my vehicle in for routine maintenance. I live an hour away and was half way home when the low air pressure light came on. I immediately called and the lady told me I could just stop somewhere and add air to the tires or come back. I immediately drove back to Airport Honda. The mechanic said all 4 tires were low and that they were not recalibrated after doing the inspection.
