My experience with Hong was great!
Overall GREAT! Only complaint was I asked to be picked up by shuttle and they never contacted me. Everything else was perfect.
Tommy Jung was exceptional in helping me with my service today. He was clear, concise, and took time looking at the past history to make sure all of the my service items were up to date. He also gave me a clear path of other items needed. I am not happy with the new ownership. I am not happy with the credit card fees, inflated prices, and lack of staff the new regime has implemented. I have been a customer for over 18 years but might take my business elsewhere.
Great experience with Carlos. He did a great job of explaining everything that was done to my car to me.

Chris was nice/helpful as was the driver who gave me a ride to and from my house. The problem is that the dealership repair department didn’t have the recalled part they called me in for. Very confused about this since I was told to come him to have a part replaced if was faulty, and when they found that part faulty, they didn’t have it in stock. So now I have to come back in to have it replaced?? My time is valuable and now I have to take more time off work to come back? This is just bad business all around. Extremely dissatisfied.
I haven’t had the best experiences at Honda of Oakland Service Department, but Hong was able to answer my questions and try to address the issue at hand despite me being unsettled by the whole situation. He did a great job in his role. My car issue wasn’t resolved, but will be in the future once the requirements are met in order to perform diagnostics and take care of the covered extended warranty repair.
I called six times and texted three times to try to find out the diagnosis for my car but did not get a call until 4 p.m. The service department lady threatened to send me to voice mail after I complained about only getting voice mail and wanting to talk to a live person. One star service.
I was on crutches, and Hong made sure my car was brought literally right to me when I picked it up after the service so that I didn’t have to walk any further than necessary. His attention to that detail was greatly appreciated.
