John filled in for my scheduled attendant. He was quick to notice my issues, clear in his communication, and delivered really personable service. I was offered wonderful service and assistance while my car was being repaired, and everything was thoroughly explained to me.

I took in my car primarily due to a recall notice I received, but also mentioned that my CarPlay screen was having issues and occasionally freezing or disconnecting from my phone, despite my USB cable being connected securely. Hong stated a diagnostic evaluation would be done and there would be no charge if it was covered by warranty. I had to leave my car overnight and was informed by Hong the next morning that their diagnostic evaluation determined the cause of my CarPlay malfunctioning was due to using a phone cable that was not purchased at an Apple Store. He said that this would NOT be covered under warranty and I would be charged $220, but “he would offer a 50% discount and charge $110 instead.” When I questioned why it would not be covered under warranty, Hong stated that using a non-Apple cable is considered a “user error” supposedly not covered by warranty, so that’s why I would have to pay out of pocket. Honestly, I thought it was pretty ludicrous for him to give this excuse and have the audacity to charge a $220 fee, and then act like he was doing me a favor charging me “only” $110 instead — basically just to tell me to buy a cable from the Apple Store. Seems a bit unethical, and had I known I would be charged $110-$220 out of pocket for something that I could’ve just Googled myself, I wouldn’t have even brought up the CarPlay issue and would’ve just had them address the primary issue of the recall notice that had me come in for service in the first place.

I’ve been to this location multiple times to fix this mirror. Again, the entire compartment broke apart. This is a brand new car. This should not be the case.
