I had no problem with what I went in for which was a recall on the fuel pump. What I had a problem with was the person checking me in trying to do the upsell on all of the things that my car needs or is going to need in the near future. Added that they need to be done just like you would an oil change, etc., etc. I declined the services and I went and took my seat waiting for my car. My car was parked in front of the waiting area window so I saw that it was done. I waited 10 or so minutes and no one texted me or came to get me to tell me that it was done. I then went to the desk of the person who checked me in and she said I will be with you in five minutes. I walked across the hall to the restroom. I returned to the desk and there was another couple in front of me being waited on. That took probably seven or so minutes to be completed as they two were getting the upsell speech. While I was standing there, the couple to my left, got the upsell speech as well. What was most disturbing is when I was the only customer left in that area I heard a female voice to my left say to the other two employees, so is anyone making any money today? And one person responded, I am! I understand that cars need maintenance. This isn’t my first vehicle that I’ve ever owned in my life. I assume they push so hard to do the upsell because they make extra money if they are successful? Putting fear into other people’s lives because they want to make money is reprehensible to me! That, and the fact that it was 23 minutes from the time my car was parked out front until I was walking to my car is ridiculous!

Everything went great with my oil change and tire rotation. The only little thing that I’m still annoyed by is that on my whole-car inspection, my right rear brake was marked as “in bad shape” and when I asked about it they said it was actually fine and they just marked the wrong box. In hindsight I wish I had made them officially change it. I hope this doesn’t come back to haunt me.

Tim was super personable and friendly. Great work and very professional.

I had to call the service dept after I had left. The problem I was told by Firestone was discussed with Tim. He was very knowledgeable about the issue. I felt lucky to speak with him and to tap into his knowledge about the van.
