My husband and I have purchased several cars with Akins. I will tell you one of the top reasons, is not that we are committed to a Ford but yet we enjoy the service Akins provides. For the most part, we’ve always been placed with our service, but I have to say today was not one of those days. My visit was a simple oil change and a tire psi issue. In my past experience, the service representative would come and update you while you’re waiting on the repair. I wasn’t updated. When I was told my car was ready. I had to ask well, what was wrong with the tire? My service rep told me they patched it, but had no other information and had to go back and ask the gentleman that repaired the tire what was found. Then when I get in my car to leave, I noticed that the tire that had the patch had about 10 pounds less psi than the other three tires. I went back to my service rep and asked was he sure they put air in that tire because it was registering 26 psi. He told me once I drive it it would reset itself. I’m not sure why they didn’t do that before they gave me the car back? I drove into town and the psi did not change at all. My service rep called me about that time to check on me and I told him it was still showing 26 psi and all the other tires were at 36. He asked me to bring it back. I did and they determine the sensor was bad and replaced it. Huge inconvenience and time wasted on my part. I never comment on these things or get negative feedback because we all deserve Grace. Then I just get home open up my trunk and see that the air compressor that comes with the Ford explore was not put back in the spot, but yet just sitting in my trunk with the cord unraveled. Just a mess. I have to say I’m not really happy with the overall service today.
I received ‘The Works’ package on Monday June 8th, and at checkout, I was told I had an oil leak and a problem with my CV joint in the front passenger, no other problems were mentioned. On the receipt it stated ‘need 2 tires ASAP’ but this was not mentioned at checkout. Wednesday the 10th afternoon, I got a flat tire (my front passenger). Upon replacing the tire, I discovered the lugnuts were not tightened. This is a recurring problem as, earlier in April, after receiving the Works Package, I had to replace the same tires studs and lugnuts as 2/5 studs were cut in half and 3/5 of the lugnuts had fallen off. I believe the mechanics working on my car did not ensure the lugnuts are tightened, and I wish all car issues were discussed at checkout.
**** did a wonderful job as always. He was very prompt and my car ready in no time. Now the lady in the rental car department not so much. She came at me like a cop and accused me of smoking in the car which I did not and did not give me the customer service that I have had from every other employee there, especially ****. He is top notch. My family has done a lot of business with Akins and she did not represent you well at all.
I appreciate all the detailed information Chris gave on all the work done on fixing the problem on my vehicle.

There is a glob of black glue on my paint on my door. However Rudy said to come by anytime and they would get it off.
