Hello, I came in today for my first service for my rav4 that I purchased at this dealership. My experience with the purchase was amazing and positive. Patrick helped me during this time and delivered quality service. The gentlemen who also processed my paperwork was also amazing, he made me feel at ease with learning about the whole process. The finance and Patrick also assisted my brother getting his vehicle at this dealership as well, again, amazing service. Due to such positive and warm experience, I came today from Portland to get my first service done instead of going somewhere else. I simply asked if I would be able to get a car wash, the gentleman who checked me in informed me that he will try and that it is not a standard practice to do so, I acknowledged to him saying that if yes that would be great, however if staffing doesn’t permit I understand. During my time, I was told three times that the car wash was approved by the GM for a one time service. I started with this comment and ended my appointment with this comment. I didn’t feel I need to be told three times and I verbalized understanding and appreciation of the wash. Today’s visit didn’t feel the same as the previous and didn’t reflect the core values that I was informed by Patrick. Again, I am grateful that I was able to get a wash.

I believe the worker’s names I worked with were Makayla & Nick, who were both great! Nick communicated everything clearly to me and answered all questions. However, I have been trying to fix my gas tank issue on my 2020 RAV4 XSE for a year and it seems like Toyota doesn’t want to fix the issue. I’ve mentioned it every time I’ve had an appointment and always get told to come back. When I made this appointment I told the person on the phone that I wanted it looked at during my service appointment so I can schedule that appt finally which should be covered under my car’s warranty. The individual said she’d made a note of it on my appt. When I checked in I mentioned it to Makayla that it should be under the notes and I told Nick as well about the issue. My appt which normally takes 1 hour took 3 hours because they changed a couple filters and Nick did ask if I was in a rush since I drove almost an hour and a half to get there. I told him I wasn’t but I didn’t expect the appt to take 3 hours. When I was leaving I asked about scheduling the follow up appointment for the gas tank and I was told that a tech needed to look at the gas tank first before scheduling this appt. Another man asked if I had more time to wait so a tech could look but Toyota had already had 3 hours and 3 different verbal cues to have a tech look. Why didn’t they look when they had a chance? Plus I was already made late for 2 appts back home on the coast. Not sure how a tech analysis fell through the cracks when I verbalized my needs 3 times but this was frustrating. Otherwise happy with Toyota and have only had a good experience in the service appts I’ve had. Hoping my next appt remedies my gas tank issue where it’s not filling up to max capacity, a well documented issue with the 2020 XSEs.
