I came in for service because the right-hand side DRL was not working. I expected a thorough investigation and diagnosis but all I was told was that I needed a new headlamp unit for $1850 as something was wrong within the unit that only a new unit could fix. I had done my research as to possible causes of DRL failure and asked if the control Module was checked and it obviously was not. I was told it could be checked but that was not guaranteed to fix it and if I wanted them to investigate if that was the issue I would have to pay $400 for the labor. Then why am being charged $160 for a diagnosis when a thorough job was not being done? Just a terrible experience all around from the technician who is lazy and did not want to drop the bumper to do a proper diagnosis.
I paid the $189 with shop supplies and tax, took my car home dropped the bumper myself and swapped the control module right/left and sure enough the issue followed the bad module. So all I need is a control module to replace the bad one, as water intruded and damaged the bad one, which is common with these vehicles.
Overall, just poor from Brandon VW, which is where I purchased my car and serviced it for 4 1/2 years now. The advisor Mike was decent but he doesn't know much and wasn't prepared to challenge the tech on his diagnosis enough for my liking. If he did, it would have led to the tech doing his job properly and finding out that the module was bad like I did.

Michael Moore is the only bright spot in a completely disappointing first visit to your dealership. Lies about how long it would take. Lies about charges. Purely fictional so called multi point inspection. Telling me I need a new cabin air filter for $194 and an air filter for $120 when both were replaced last week for a total of $35. Obviously no actual inspection took place.
I am disappointed that no one look at the little dent in the side above the gas cap, I was disappointed to find parts in my seat and the condition they the service department left in grime and dirt in the floor.
Carlos is a great service gentleman and very kind and wants perform to the customers satisfaction, but this time it was not Carlos, it’s service people who worked on my suv. I just send $$$ cleaning the inside of the suv.
