I brought my car to Norm Reeves Ford because I was experiencing an issue where, when accelerating, the RPMs would climb but the car would not pick up speed. On surface streets it was hardly noticeable, but on the freeway it was very obvious—I wasn’t able to reach freeway speeds no matter how much I pressed the accelerator.
I purchased my vehicle here and have always received excellent service in the past, but this experience has been very disappointing. It took 6 days just to get my car back. I was told I could not receive a rental until a diagnosis was made. I called several times to check on the status, was told it could be a transmission issue, and had to get a Lyft home. For 4 days there was no diagnosis, and finally on the fifth day I was told my car was ready for pickup. I was ecstatic—until I drove home on the freeway and realized the issue was exactly the same.
When I called back, I was told the mechanic had only test-driven the car on surface streets, despite me clearly explaining that the problem occurs on the freeway. The service center was then closed for Labor Day weekend, and I was told to bring it back Tuesday. I rely on this car for work, I am a single mom, and I only have one vehicle. This delay and lack of resolution is costing me time, money, and peace of mind.
I am extremely disappointed that the issue was not properly addressed, I am no closer to a diagnosis or a solution, and I still do not have access to a rental car. This is unacceptable.

I’m not sure if car washes are still complimentary, but every other time we have brought our vehicle to get serviced, it was something that was always done. My truck was kept at the dealer for 2 days so I think it’s crazy that wasn’t something that was automatically done. And I know it could’ve been done because I heard another service advisor tell another customer her car was almost ready it was just being washed. Another detail I did not appreciate was how carelessly the sticker on my windshield was removed, the glue left on there and a new sticker placed right next to it.
