Qualified people know exactly what they supposed to do and how to deliver the right service
Toyota technicians were unable to diagnose the problem with my vehicle and therefore said there is no problem. They were unable to explain why my car intermittently will not engage in 1st gear or why it makes a metal grinding noise sometimes. I provided videos of the problem as it was occurring since it is intermittent. This problem already damaged my first transmission as determined by Toyota after they found metal scraps in my transmission fluid. This is not normal, not safe, and will cause damage to my vehicle over time. It is Toyota’s responsibility to ensure that their vehicle function and function safely, however, Toyota has stated it will not fix this problem. The representative Kyle has been very patient with this situation and has taken the time to try to adequately capture the details of the problem and pass it on to the mechanics. I am satisfied with the service from Kyle but very dissatisfied with the decision not to fix the problem with my transmission.
The bottom line for repairs ALWAYS seems exorbitant

Kyle was really helpful and patient. He took the time to get the videos of the problem my car is having to to try to understand and describe the issue. This the the third time I have brought my car for service on the same issues, but the technicians have been unable to resolved the problem. I am not satisfied with the fact that Toyota has decided not to fix the problem. My car does not reliably engage in 1st gear. It has a metal grinding noise sometimes when this happens. I have described the recurrent problem a few times and provided multiple videos. However, Toyota has decided that the car is “functioning as designed” and “normally”. The problem is intermittent and may not occur on a given day. However, a car must be able to consistently engage in 1st gear every time the driver needs to start the car or accelerate after stopping at a red light. Toyota should take responsibility to fix this problem. While I am satisfied with my interactions with Kyle, I find Toyota’s conclusion that the vehicle has nothing wrong with it unacceptable and am dissatisfied with Toyota. This is my first and only new car that I bought from Toyota less than 2 years ago (others cars I got used and were Hyundai or Ford), but this Toyota car has had more problems than all my other old car from different companies.
