I had oil filters changed and I just asked for an oil change and a tire rotation which should have been around $70 and I got charged more because they changed the filters and didn’t ask me first. I have a budget to follow as a college student and I wasn’t expecting to pay $107!

When I picked up the vehicle. I found some part of a housing that was broken from the tech opening up the glove compartment to check for the cabin air filter. They made some recommendations but they could not confirm that it fix the problem. They wanted me to do a break fluid flush which would maybe fix the low break peddle. So the experts at Toyota could not find out why a break peddle is low till I spend money to flush the break fluid they can’t tell me if it can be fixed or not. What a way to make a client spend money but get nothing out of it.

Dave was very helpful and professional. He explained to me what my car needed after the oil change and maintenance check points were completed. I was able to useToyota Rewards. The only complaint I had is my car was NOT due for an oil change and no one told me. I did bring it in for an oil change because the maintenance warning sign was on. After the oil change was completed I asked a service man how often the oil should be changed and he advised 10k miles or 12 months which ever comes first. There was less than 6k miles since the last oil change. My car has always been serviced by Toyota World Newark and I felt I should have been told an oil change was not needed yet. The air and cabin filters were replaced today which I did agree with. My tires were replaced at Costco and they do the tire rotation for no charge.
