My 2018 Honda Clarity PHEV was brought in for the fuel pump recall. There's a strong gasoline odor coming from the vehicle after the work was completed. Shouldn't the car exterior and interior be cleaned after the work was completed?

. As I was waiting, I noticed that others were called and directed to pick up their cars. I received a message that my car was ready, so I waited to be called. However, no one called me for a while. I went outside and mentioned that I had received a message saying it was completed, and they told me to continue waiting inside. Even after waiting well over an hour, no one called me.
I finally walked over to my car, which was parked outside, and asked if it was ready. I was directed to the cashier, who confirmed that it was complete and called the car for me.
I made an early visit to have things handled quickly, but this felt like a waste of time. I can’t understand the process or how it was handled
