I asked specifically to get the starter replaced on my vehicle because I’ve been having intermittent starting issues, but was charged only for a battery test. In the end I was charged $200+ only for a diagnosis and recommendation to replace battery.
Also, Richard assisted me and is very nice and helpful to interact with in person. But it would be nice to get updates on the status of my vehicle as the day progresses. It was radio silence and had only got a text that my vehicle was ready 15 mins before the service center closed.
Customer service rep who checked me in asked me why I was there for an appointment today. I said for a 10k mile oil change and that my brakes have been making loud squeaking sounds since I’ve purchased my car. Instead of trying to figure out why this might be happening on a “new” from 2025, he proceeded to tell me that “it’s normal for breaks to squeak”.
I then proceeded to let him know that the service rep from your company that helped me prior had acknowledged that this has been an issue with the new land cruisers and that there might be a recall in the future. He then proceeded to check with another coworker who confirmed this and that if the techs found any issues with my breaks than they would be replaced. I have not heard back from anyone on the status of this as the tech assigned to my car was on lunch break and someone else had checked me out.

Unlike the last time I visited with another agent, John came and found me in the waiting room to let me know the car was ready. I appreciate the extra effort.
I waited 50 minutes to check in For an appointment. I should be able to drop off my car at my appointment time and go. The check in process was very inefficient. Anyone could have checked me in but were just dillydallying around.
Jessica is the best! She was knowledgeable, friendly and communicative. She listened to well to my concerns, kept me informed during the diagnostic process. And then she explained the problem that Maiki had discovered. She explained that if I was willing to stick around for two more hours he could repair it. So I did! Inface, it was finished within the hour.
Jessica explained the charges and even helped me take advantage of the Costco discount, reducing my bill - to my delight. She was the most helpful service advisor imaginable. Thanks for Jessica and Toyota service!
