When I made my appointment by phone, I detailed what was needed. This was somewhat summarized by the appointment reminder. I fully expected all the required parts to be available. The recall replacement fuel pump wasn’t available. My car was kept overnight for the part, which was fine. The next day, I picked up my car and drove it away without any consultation. I found that the side mirror light bulb wasn’t replaced. No one said anything. In fact, I thought the representation was that it was replaced. The part was ordered. I now have to make a second trip to the service department. At home, I read the report which states my front tire treads are below minimum. Why didn’t someone call me to discuss this. Instead, I am allowed to drive off your premises with a potentially dangerous condition.

The garage was packed and when it was time to pick up my car it was parked on the street (not in a parking spot and at the most awkward part of the street where the lane curves and curb parking ends). It had a random cone alerting other drivers and bicyclists. No one did a walk thru of the car with me upon drop off or pickup. It was like here are your keys now jump in your car while there’s a break in traffic! Go go go! I was also surprised that Audi doesn’t do a little something for customers like vacuum your front floor boards, windex the windshield or give the dash a quick swipe for dust. My former mechanic did that with every visit no matter how big or small the service appointment. It’s the nicest personal touch and great customer service. It made me feel like my car was as much appreciated by their staff as it is by me. Other than that it was a routine 1st checkup at 10,000 mi.
