Representative that took my appointment assured me my battery was under Lexus 2-4 year warranty
Ryan said it was 12 months and I was 2 days out from coverage despite the fact that the car resides in Florida and I live in NC and I presented data from a third party indicating battery was dead November 15.
Ryan said I could only buy the battery from Lexus. I checked internet after leaving there are several suitable alternatives.
Ryan’s supervisor forgave the labor and wiper blade replacement cost.
None of this speaks well for JM or Lexus. Discounting charges helped but not enough. I have purchased 6 Lexus vehicles and influenced the purchase of 3 others by my children. When Lexus volunteered to replace 4 tires on my LS because they underperformed by Lexus standards I was really impressed. I’m not impressed by the battery performance or flexibility to make things right on this battery issue. All other service and maintenance issues have been what I would expect from Lexus and the dealer.
