I bought my car from Crown Lexus and I take my vehicle to Crown Lexus for service because I thought I could trust your company. Unfortunately, I have lost my trust in Crown Lexus. During my last service on Thursday your mechanic said my front brakes needed “immediate” attention because the brake pad was down to “1MM”. I asked the service writer to double check what the mechanic told him because it seemed odd. I have not heard the sensor and I only drove 5,000 miles since my last service and I only drive freeway miles so my brakes should not have been down to “1MM since my last service driving 5,000 freeway miles. Your service writer said he talked with the mechanic again and verified it was down to 1 MM. I ended up taking my vehicle to an AAA approved repair shop to get a second opinion and what I found out was the brake pads were not down to 1MM and actually were not even close to the sensor. The brake pad material thickness was the thickness of the metal backing plate. I ended up replacing the brakes because I was there and just wanted to get it out of the way. They purchased the brake pads from your location and my total to replace the pads, shims and resurface the rotors were $245, significantly less than the $576 you quoted for the exact same parts and labor. I’m not that concerned about the price difference I’m just disappointed your service writer and mechanic lied to me about the condition of my brake pads. I parked the car and did not drive it in case you were telling the truth and used my sons car for the last 4 days until I could take my car to the AAA approved repair center. I have a picture of my brake pads if you want to verify that I’m telling you the truth. You can check the services Crown Lexus recommended to verify your mechanic told me I have 1 MM left. Luckily I managed a repair shop for 15 years so I have a little common sense to see when things don’t sound right. How many people trust you and believe what you say and paid for repairs they didn’t really need? If you pay your service writers and mechanics commission thats probably where the issue is. The more they bill the more they make. I have the pictures of the rake pads if you need them and even have the old parts

Professional and Very customer focused.

Brought my car for service on 4/3/23. Notice oil stains on my drive way.. Never happened in all the 6 years ive been bringinf my car for service. Now I have to bring back my car on 4/5 for them to check on it.. I have a very important health appt same day which I cannot reschedule. I hope my car will be done before my health appt. Such an inconvenience.
