The original time estimate was for 2.5 hours. At 3 hours I received a cheery text saying that my car "is in good hands" and that I would receive a call when it was ready (no explanation offered). I was already on my way back to the dealership. When I arrived, Matt went out to check on the status, and returned to tell me that it would be another 15 to 20 minutes still. 45+ minutes later I received a call from a different rep saying that the car was done. When I got to the counter there was a sign at Matt's station saying that he was out to lunch.... I did receive a follow-up text from him that there was "Great news" that my car was "all serviced and ready to come home." That text was sent 20 minutes after I had left the dealership with the car. I recognize that the time estimate is only an estimate, but the follow on communication needs to acknowledge the original statement. Of course my car was in good hands, I trusted your dealership with it for that reason. And since my car is not a pet, I kind of doubt that it was "ready to come home." If the original time estimate turns out to be incorrect, just tell me, and get the follow up information correct. Under promise and over deliver is better than the reverse, but accurate information throughout the process is even better.

Valentin went above and beyond the call of duty, in my mind. Specifically, he returned calls promptly, kept me informed about the progress of my car’s repair job, and even brought down the Norm Reeves car rental rate to match with what my insurance policy allows! (Hope I’m not overstepping my bounds by my mentioning that last point - but it really impressed me and my opinion of his work effort and of the dealership). Overall, a good experience and my car is back to normal!
