Thu 9/19/2019 - 5:00 PM: Took vehicle in because it was making a scrapping/grinding noise, noise seemed to be coming from the driver’s side front. Rep said that they would not be able to get to the car today, but would give me a call before noon on Friday 9/20 to let me know what the problem was. There would be a $140.00 diagnostic charge if I did not have the repair done by them, otherwise it would be waived. Fri 9/20 - 10:50 AM: Received a call from the Rep stating that they could not find my keys and they would have to make a new key (no charge), I also mentioned that there was a remote with the key and they would have to replace that also, he said he would check with his supervisor and call me later with a status. I was not happy. - 2:30 PM: Received a voice message that they found the problem, the driver’s side front fender liner needed to be replaced, quote was $490.00 parts and labor plus tax. - 4:40 PM called back and gave approval to make the repair. - 5:55 PM Rep called and said that they ordered the parts, but since it was after 4:00 PM and they were closed for the week that they may not get the parts on Saturday, it may be Tuesday. I was OK with that. Sat 9/21 - 10:45 AM: Received a call from the Rep and he said, good news, the part came in and the car would be ready around 2:00 or 3:00 PM and he would call when it was ready, he also mentioned that they found the key, it wasn’t in the valet area on Friday, but it was there today. He said that he’ll also give the new key and remote to me at no charge. - 12:55 PM: Received a call from the Rep, he said Honda sent them the wrong part and they would have to order another on Monday so the car won’t be ready until Tuesday. I said OK, but was not happy again. Mon 9/23 - The $490.00 quote seemed high so I did some checking, I got quotes from two other Southern California Honda Dealers: o Dealer 1 quoted $280.00 parts and labor plus tax (not quite half of what Goudy was charging) o Dealer 2 quoted $217.00 parts and labor plus tax, they said it’s a 1 hour labor cost (less than half of what Goudy was charging). Tue 9/24 - When car was ready, spoke to Rep and gave him quote from other two dealers. He said since two different Techs worked on the car I was charged 3.0 hours (1 hour for diagnostic, even though Rep said I would not be charged if work was done at Goudy, 2.0 hours for repair). I said that I should not be charged for the diagnostics, Rep said he’ll remove that charge, but that the Tech that performed the diagnostics would not get paid. Come on really.

The reason I was not completely satisfied is that I had questions about my lights. I mentioned that to the service guy who helped me check in. I told him I have been stopped my police because my automatic lights where not working properly and he seemed to brush off my concern/question. He seemed preoccupied w the fact that I was not intrested in a 30000 service that was overly priced. He seemed busy and didnt seem despondent about my concern. I told him 800 was too expensive and I would take my car for those services elsewhere. He mentioned a payment plan, but again I said I could not afford it. My question and concern about my lights was brushed off. That's all
