JP came to my car early and even helped with a navigation issue ( mine, not the cars). He was very polite, friendly and professional. The coffee was good. It was interesting that every single associate who came in through the customer waiting area wished other associates a great day, and were just very friendly and upbeat. One if the guys at the store helped 2 people ( that I saw) with questions and so very nicely walked them over to service ( instead of just pointing). The women’s bathroom was immaculate. Always a pleasant experience.

Since you are asking, I was definitely not happy with the service I've received, and I have already elaborated and discussed that with the manager, same day. I am used to first class service when I bring my car to Bob Baker, because that's what I usually receive. But not with Mr. Carrasco. He takes my car I dropped off around 9am and tells me the diagnostics will take up to 4 hours. Four hours later, I have still not heard back from him. So I call him. He says he has zero update from his mechanics, so he will check and call me back in 5 min. I hear back from him more like 45 minutes later. Certainly not a service man who gives me the feeling who cares about my vehicle or the service I am receiving. And at that point he tells me they think it's the turbo pin and that's ging to be very expensive to fix... I say, well is it or are you just thinking it is? Unbelievable, basically 5 hrs later he still has zero concrete answer... omg, basically not thinking that I might have planned the rest of my day around the fact that I'd have the car back in my hands by now. Zero consideration. I am used to service people keeping me up to date on what's going on, results or not. They at least call after 4 hrs and give me some kind of update, even if it's just "hey, not ready yet bla bla bla... another 45 min, etc." well, that's better than being ignored and feeling like my car does not matter. I do put my life on hold... without having the convenience of my car, and I do expect and am used to be be kept in the loop. Then it gets better.... when I pick up my car, he can't really explain to me what the turbo defect means in a way that I understand it... and also has no multi-point inspection sheet for me, which you guys give me with every check out from your facility. So he goes and prints one... reluctant to go over it with me... so strange in itself, as everyone has always done that... They usually say: 'ok here is something you need to look for... then your tires... might wanna change them after another 2k... then here is something you should get fixed next... etc." you catch my drift on what I mean by having someone go over it with you by now, right? By that time I just really have had it with him and his chewing gum chewing right into my face, so I told him I will just ask someone who has done these check outs with me before and not to bother, as at I feel like at this point that I am more of an inconvenience to him than a somewhat respected and paying customer. Then I take the paperwork and find Bobby, who explains exactly what's wrong with my car, what my options are, and then he goes over the multi-point inspection sheet - ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT Mr Carrasco has given me an inspection sheet that's not for my car but for someone else's Tiguan, instead. Oh well, go figure. I made my point. Will I go to Baker again? I am not sure about that. This kind of service I've received from Mr. Carrasco is not what I am looking for when wanna feel like my car and I are in good hands. Those were not good hands.

For the first time in almost two years I felt safe driving my car. The other Subaru service department where I purchased my car stated they never heard a noise even though it got worse; but Joseph called me within 3 hours and said "we found the problem". Thank you Bob Baker and thank you Joseph for your diligence.

My service appointment with Colton was awesome! My appt was at 8:30 am and I had work at 10. In addition to my regular maintenance there was also a recall on my Crosstrek. I asked how long the wait was since I had to be at work in an hour and a half. Colton said he would make sure I got to work on time and sure enough I was out of there in an hour with my service done, recall done, and even got a car wash! Very impressed!!

My name is Greg my legal name is Mark that is what shows on my license. A simple oil change has taken 3-4 hours out of my DAYS. Got an oil change and the next day I did very little driving and all local no freeway. The next day I drove down to San Diego and I noticed a film on my windshield. I thought it might be tree sap. Later driving home my check oil light came on. I call service they recommended pulling over I was on the freeway. By the time I hung up it went out. So I was 3 miles from home and it came on again 2 blocks from my house. When I got home I opened the hood to check the oil levels and the oil cap was on the hood closing area. A wonder that the cap hadn’t fallen off. I filled it with oil from my daughters Forester we always keep extra in her car because it was recalled for having an excessive oil burner. Long story on that as well. Drove the car from San Marcos to your shop after filling it and put the oil cap back on. They checked it, replaced my quart of oil and washed my car. The oil splashed all over the interior hood blanket which they tried to clean but it was falling apart from them using a pressure gun. They did give me a free oil change gift certificate which was nice.They said they would replace it and Rewash my car. I came in today and they didn’t wash my car and when I checked to be sure everything was done one of the screw/garment fell off into the engine area. I had to get some to get it out and put it back on. Anyway another trip back home to San Marcos. Really don’t know what else to say about this but if there was a different dealer closer I probably would be taking my business there.
