I have taken my car to get serviced at Longo Toyota for the past 2/3 years since I purchased my Prius. I was disappointed at the service I received today from Mr. Ayala. When I dropped off my car this morning, I was informed my vehicle would be ready around 11am. Although, I did not need a ride back home, usually, each time I’ve gone the representative will ask if I needed the service. This time I was not asked. Then around 10 am I started receiving calls from my mother saying that a person was contacting her about my car. This is the first time in which my mother was ever contacted about my vehicle. I am the owner of the vehicle and would assume I would be contacted directly for any matters concerning my car. Mr. Ayala did not confirm my contact information before I left that morning but my name is clearly listed as the owner. I found his business card in my purse and called him. I informed him that as the owner of the vehicle I am to be contacted at the number I called for any matters pertaining to my car. Mr. Ayala then proceeded to tell me one of my light bulbs were out and if I needed it replaced. As I was busy, I agreed to have it fixed. I ended the phone call but later on thought about how my sensors never indicated a lightbulb near my headlight was out. Before ending the phone call, I asked about what time my vehicle would be ready and Mr. Ayala stated it would be ready by 11:30/11:40am the latest. I arrived to the dealership around 11:15am and waited until 11:50 until I decided to call Mr. Ayala. When I called him he informed me it would be another 20/30min at most. I waited another 40 minutes before deciding I would speak with the payment people in front to see if I could pay for the services already to speed up the process. I explained to the payment person the time frames that were given and the time that had already passed, he offered to call and see if there was any update about my vehicle. He was very helpful and attentive, (it should be noted that another lady that worked at the payment place gave my toddler and I small water bottles as we were waiting and I really appreciate her thoughtfulness) and when he got off the phone, he stated the vehicle was all ready and would be brought to the front. I thanked him for his help and stated that I needed to take my toddler to the bathroom but would return to make the payment. When we returned from the bathroom, my car was up front and the man that helped me had all my documents ready. It wasn’t until I was already in my vehicle that I receive a voicemail from Mr. Ayala telling me that my vehicle is ready for pick up. My experience today has made me question if it’s worth continuing to take my car to get serviced at Longo Toyota as I pay over $300 every 3/4 months each time I take my vehicle. Although this was my first negative experience, I am extremely upset and disappointed by the service received by Mr. Ayala as I got the impression from the beginning that he was trying to offer additional services to my car because I’m a female, the time frames given that were very off, and also the fact that the payment person confirmed my car was already ready for pick up. If I hadn’t of reached out to the payment person then who knows how much longer I would of waited for my vehicle. I had my toddler with me the entire time and I would of ensured childcare had I of known we would be at the dealership for so long. My mother continues to get text messages from Longo about my vehicle. I would not of received this survey if she didn’t forward it to me directly.
