For the second time in a month, I have had an appointment for service on my truck “that was purchased at MK SMITH” and the appointment was not taken into consideration. November 2017- I had an appointment at 730am for an oil change and my truck sat until after 1pm before any touched it. Mind you I had a neighbor that had no appointment that just showed up and waited for his truck to get an oil change, and got his done before me. Jennifer Hunt said it would take a few hours. December 27 2017- I had an appointment at 730am to replace the catalytic converter (which was under warranty) spoke to Jennifer Hunt the day before and she said all parts were in stock and said it would take a few hours. Once again my truck sat until 2pm when I showed up in person to see the progress. I was told the truck might not get done on the 27th and that I’d probably have to wait until the 28th for pick up. I spoke with Jennifer and expressed my concerns of being without a vehicle any longer and she replied with they’ll try there hardest to get it done by the end of the shift. The truck was done by the end of the night 6-8 hours after the fact of having an appointment. If this is the loyalty and respect that MK Smith shows it customers that have bought a vehicle from them, I’d really hate to see the service customers get that never have never bought a vehicle and just use you for service. I’m very disappointed and annoyed with the way MK SMITH has taken care of me with servicing my truck. I will NOW take my business elsewhere. Gil & Amber O

I made an appointment 1 week prior to bringing my car in for service with David. It was to inspect/fix the oil leak which I told him looked to be the oil pan. I also told him the car has some periodic hesitation when accelerating. He wrote the appointment up as check oil leak and rough starting. When I questioned him on it, he said that was just their lingo. I brought my car in on the scheduled day and Robert handled it because David wasn’t in yet. He also didn’t record the hesitation correctly and seemed like he was half asleep. That evening I called to see if it was ready, and David said they just started checking the oil leak and it was the oil pan but can’t complete it until the following day, and hadn’t seen the rough starting. AGAIN I stated it was a hesitation upon acceleration. David said he’d personally test drive it in the morning. NEXT day around noon I called, the oil pan was done but hadn’t seen the problem with starting. I asked him if he test drove it in the early am like he promised and he said no he didn’t. They’d have to keep the car overnight AGAIN so they can see if they see if any problem with the hesitation. Now it’s the third day and around 10:00am he called saying they don’t see any problem with acceleration, so it’s ready to pickup. These two things should not take three days to complete – especially since I had an appointment!! And we still feel occasional hesitation while accelerating.

Had a coolant leak and was not told of it until I read the paperwork. MK Smith repaired the cooling system in September 2017 and Work was still under warranty. Very unhappy now that I have to drive my car with a leak. Especially during the holidays.

When I dropped my traverse off I was told it would also be wash. I informed my rep I would pick up my traverse at noon. I was informed via text and a phone call my vehicle was ready. When I arrived at 12:45 my traverse had not been washed as promised.
