I called and made an appointment for Friday. Early Friday am I called and changed the appointment to Monday, same time 10:45. I was told on the phone the work would take an our to two hours. I showed up today at 10:45 for the appt and I was not on the schedule. Then I was told it would be 4 hours, not 2 hours ????. Iwas here for a recall on my car that has 4,600 miles, which I bough at Hardin Honda. I asked for a shuttle but was told I was 12 miles away and the shuttle only goes 10 miles. But while the staff is telling me this, they are discussing that the shuttle is 16 miles out for another customer in Yorba Linda ????. So since I have a brand new Hardin Honda car and I am in service for a recall, Harden will give me a ride to less than 10 miles, so they rent a LYFT but the LYFT can’t take me 12 miles to my office. The whole experience was disappointing. Nice people, lousy service. I want be back to Hardin for service, not worth the 12 mile drive.

I have done a few feedback on Handa service and I have always emphasized this: it is not just about what the service advisor (SA) knows, not what he think is the right thing about a customers vehicle, it’s also about listening to what the customer wants to say, what he wants, and NOT WHAT THE SA THINKS. He should listen to the customer. He should respect what the customer knows, he should not insult the intelligence of the customer. The SA should be busy just trying to say what’s in his mind!!!
Rodolfo is exactly like this. This morning my wife brought our car to Honda to have the battery replaced. If very the phone, Rodolfo immediately told me that our battery is already out of warranty. He never bothered to check the records first. When I tdescribed to him how our battery was replaced there at Honda in Nov 2016, he admitted he recalled it. But he BLATANTLY told me that he can help us and Honda cannot help us if we don’t have our receipt!! He didn’t even kindly told me that we might be able to trace the receipt in their purchase dept. he simply meant, if don’t have the receipt, Honda cannot help me. When I complained about that, he simply told me that “I may not have my services there at Hardin Honda. Simply telling me that I can bring my car somewhere else. Horrible experience. I spoke with the manager and the manager was kind enough to entertain my complaint. He ex palined that they don’t have a record of my battery receipt and that they’re computer system is entirely different from the system of the purchasing dept. I told him they could have just offered me any help like trying to trace the record in the purchasing dept. If the service dept doesn’t any record of my battery purchase from the the purchase dept, how come they don’t have the record or that battery being installed? I wouldn’t buy a battery from them then have it installed outside by somebody else. but I wondered, I always come to Honda Hardin thinking that this a whole integrated company, that the purchasing dept is not an independent dept from the service dept that whatever the problem of one, the other doesn’t have to be the problem of the other??? I don’t understand this. I have been with Hardin Honda since 2014, longer than any of this SA or managers have been Honda. I have kept my 198,000 mile 2014 pilot and have all the major services at Hardin Honda.i have bought 3 more hides with the sales dept of Hardin Honda, which I still have 2 of them, accord and odyssey. I have been a loyal customer of Hardin homda and this the service I get.
My wife found our battery receipt and they replaced the battery. But here’s another misfortune! My wife asked, aside form battery replacement, a change oil. They did not do this. Why? Because they said it’s still 30% oil life, still around 800 more miles to change oil!. This what I have been saying “the SA is just trying to say what he thinks is right, he does not listen to the customer. Oil change even at 30% oil life and 800 more miles before the recommended oil change won’t hurt the engine, it would save time of the customer of coming back again for a separate oil change while he can do this while having the battery replaced.
VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE!!!
LISTEN TO THE CUSTOMER!!
Do not insult their intelligence!!!
I would like to know what the management would do with this!
